Former Governor of Minnesota - Jesse Ventura
Former Governor of Minnesota, superstar wrestler, film actor, author, and ex Navy SEAL, Jesse Ventura, blasted the Governments Official account of the events of September 11th, 2001 this week.
A day after appearing on CNN's Larry King--promoting his new book, "Don't start the Revolution Without Me"--Ventura said on a nationally syndicated radio program, that his initial reaction to the attacks was much like everyone else's, he bought the story. Now, he regrets that response, and apologized for not being able to do something about it while he was in power.
"I kicked myself when it initially happened that the light didn't go off but I was so shocked that this thing had even taken place that I apologize for not being more aware,"
Ventura said on the Alex Jones radio program.
Ventura also says that everything changed after watching the movie "Loose Change"--the most watched movie on the internet--after his son kept insisting he take a look at the documentary. The film sent him on a emotional roller coaster ride.
Jesse Ventura joins the growing number of high profile figures who question the governments "official" conspiracy theory of what happened on 9/11.
I'm going to watch Loose Change, but wonder about the "most watched move on the internet". Where does this stat come from?
Cool, but that's from 2006 and it says "may". This video has 16 million views on YouTube alone.
I'll still watch it though.
Also, Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster faked the moon landing.
I have watched the movie, thanks. It's, and I'm being as generous and forgiving as possible here, complete bull@!$%#.
I am opposed to the very existence of the hierarchical state and capitalist market economics, and I am in favor of a radically democratic restructuring of society along confederated communal lines, I'm an atheist, a socialist, and a vegan, but you're right: I guess I am not one for questioning authority. Sieg heil, Herr Bush!
There is no evidence that remotely supports any of the bat@!$%# hypotheses about explosives and government insiders, and there is ample evidence that, shock of shocks, some hijackers crashed some planes into some buildings because they disagree with American imperialism. The alleged "proof" of, for example, explosives in WTC 7 is laughable in its feeble-minded simplicity and errors in even the most basic applications of the scientific method. It is, truly, no more credible that photos of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster. Or UFOs, or ghosts, or God. Or a faked moon landing. All bull@!$%#.
I suggest that if you want to come in here and debate, then you debate that evidence, rather then attack people and compare them to crazy people.
Who said I wanted to come in here and debate? The seed wasn't about evidence, it was about a "crazy person." If I were commenting on a article about the evidence for a government conspiracy, that would be different.
None of the things you just listed are actually in evidence. There's no more evidence of thermite "explosions" than for Jesus appearing on burnt toast. It's a classic case of people who can't believe that something so hideous and heinous could have actually happened in so simple a manner that they will do anything to justify, for their own sanity, the acts as something far more complex. They select ambiguous data points, out of a mountain of contradictory evidence, that could be interpreted in a way that's more conductive to the story they invented in their minds. I'm not saying it's malicious, it is a testament to the creativity of the human brain that they can see plots and conspiracies and explosions and bombs where there is none. Bully for creativity, but it's still bull@!$%#.
I'm afraid endorsement by Jesse (the body) Ventura does more to un-convince me than otherwise.
That would be more compelling.
Where would I see those endorsements?
Thanks for the links; I will have a look at them .
130+ Artists, Entertainers, and Media Professionals
Of course Jesse also joins celebrities like Charlie and Martin Sheen, Willie Nelson, Rosie O'Donnell, and many others as well.
Personally I don't care at all what celebrities think - in my opinion, the majority are no more intelligent or informed than Paris Hilton.

You know Glinda, when 9/11 stories with actual "meat" come out, like NIST admitting "We are unable to provide a full explanation of the total collapse", or 7 CIA veterans calling the 9/11 Commission Report a "joke" and "coverup", or a WTC engineer stating "Fuel and Planes Alone Did NOT Bring the Towers Down", or former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds (now under heavy gag orders) testifying about "prior knowledge of 9-11 by high up US government officials", these stories are routinely ignored.
It seems like it's only when "easy targets" like Jesse Ventura, Willie Nelson, or Charlie Sheen speak up, that people show up in droves to confidently ridicule their claims.
An interesting study in contrasts, don't you think?
Conspiracy theories abound, be it JFK, MLK, Bobby Kennedy, 9-11. You name it, there is a conspiracy that goes with it eventually.
Really bothers me that this is diminished so casually like this. Because people had alternative theories of JFK's assassination has absolutely nothing to do with the travesty of 9/11. It is an insult to the country and the victims, all of us, to even suggest this. Pathetic.
I read the article, have not seen the video. But I remember watching these towers crater straight down. It was said that the intense fire from the fuel of the aeroplanes, and their weight did the towers in. However, I have a problem with them going straight down and not falling over. I am not totally agreeing it was an inside job, but it is obvious that there is more to this then the measly government explanation. Then, going into Iraq for their WMDs (naught) and ignoring Afghanistan, where the culprits were supposedly hanging out. I have reservations on that as well. However, if our government had a hand in killing over 3000 Americans, we need to have trials of agents, politicians and perhaps presidents.
Loose Change. finally found its supporters on NV.
And agreed to comment #1. A true American, and a truly brave man.
