Gay people are the single most oppressed people in history.

And this is news how?

Take a poll like that anywhere in the middle east you'll find the results are quite similar, perhaps even more extreme.

It's to be expected.

One of these days we will need to get past the name calling, we need to come up with a plan so that we can live side by side. Yes that will be very hard to do, but the other option is we do not live side by side, and we have to divide up the country.

Considering it deviant behavior is not a crime. I did not see anything in the article that indicated anyone suggested punitive actions for such "deviancy." People are entitled to believe what they wish particularly if it is a tenet of their faith or moral belief and poses no threat to others. I have heard many gay activists, atheists and their supporters condemn others for their beliefs and consider their view as deviant, morally bankrupt or evil. A lot of people don’t like Jews, Catholics, Mormons, Muslims, swinging couples, carnival workers, tattoo artists, little people, street people, the poorly dressed, people filing bankruptcy, the left handed, etc and consider them deviant, immoral or social outcasts. We also can’t forget the media, politicians, poll takers and those who post this crap. Let’s take a poll. Should we single them out for criticism of their beliefs or actions? I personally don't think so.

Until such time as the public demands that such "deviant" behavior requires punishment, treatment, public castigation or some other state imposed penalty it remains a matter of “so what?” Sodomy laws are gone and no one stones adulterers, etc anymore, except in countries that tell you how and what you have to believe. This is just more liberal and hypocritical views being pushed on use by people with an agenda. How does that shoe fit?

I would say that the bigotry in posting this article is more terrible. It is totally one-sided regardless of your feeling about homosexuality. Homosexuality is illegal in Islamic countries. And as we know Ahmadinejad stated that there were no homosexuals in Iran at Columbia University.
